Flatsome Alternatives in 2026: Six WooCommerce and Non-WooCommerce Themes Compared
By Mark Fail · · Updated

Flatsome is the best-selling WooCommerce theme on ThemeForest, with 269,857 sales and a 4.83 rating, and for a single small store it is still hard to argue with at $59. But it is not the right theme for every shop, and the people searching for a Flatsome alternative usually have one of three reasons.
This guide covers those reasons honestly, then compares the six alternatives that come up most often: WoodMart, Shoptimizer, Astra, Kadence, Divi and the PremiumPress Shop Theme. Flatsome itself is in the table so you can see what you would be trading. Every figure was checked on 10 September 2026 against the vendor's own page, and the sources are listed at the end.
Why people look for Flatsome alternatives
The UX Builder. Flatsome uses its own page builder rather than Elementor or the block editor. It is capable, but layouts built in it do not move to another theme, and if your team already works in Elementor or Gutenberg it is one more tool to learn. Buyers who want a builder they already know look at WoodMart, Astra or Kadence.
One site per licence. The $59 Regular licence covers a single store. If you run more than one shop or build for clients, each is another purchase. Divi's unlimited-site licence and the PremiumPress Shop Theme's unlimited installs are the usual answers.
Features that need plugins. Wishlists, product compare, dynamic discounts and abandoned-cart recovery are not in Flatsome, so a busy store adds several plugins. WoodMart includes them, and a theme with its own cart avoids the WooCommerce plugin stack altogether.

WoodMart

WoodMart is the direct replacement: a dedicated WooCommerce theme at a similar price that works with Elementor, WPBakery and the block editor instead of a proprietary builder, and bundles the features Flatsome leaves to plugins: wishlist, compare, dynamic discounts, abandoned-cart recovery and more than 100 demo stores.
It requires WooCommerce 10 or later. It costs $69 for a single site and has 118,644 sales with a 4.91 rating from about 3,700 reviews on ThemeForest, last updated 30 July 2026.
Pros
- Use the builder you already know
- Wishlist, compare, discounts and cart recovery included
- Higher rating than Flatsome
- 100+ demos and 400+ sections
Cons
- Still one site per licence
- Heavier than Flatsome on modest hosting
- More settings to learn
- Needs WooCommerce and a payments extension
Shoptimizer

Shoptimizer trades Flatsome's flexibility for speed and conversion. It is opinionated about product pages, sticky add-to-cart bars, trust elements and a distraction-free checkout, and it is built to be fast without a page-builder layer in the way.
It requires WooCommerce. The listed price is $99, and the vendor often shows a lower launch offer; licence and renewal terms are on the vendor's site.
Pros
- Conversion features in the theme
- Fast by design
- Less setup than Flatsome's builder
- Focused purely on WooCommerce
Cons
- No published sales or review counts
- Less design freedom
- Needs WooCommerce and a payments extension
- Pricing changes with promotions
Astra

Astra is the free route away from Flatsome. It works with any builder, is WooCommerce-ready, and is compatible with SureCart if you later leave WooCommerce. The shop features come from WooCommerce and from Astra Pro rather than the free theme.
The free theme has more than one million active installs and a 4.9 rating from 6,524 reviews on WordPress.org, last updated 8 September 2026. Astra Pro pricing is on the Astra site and changes with promotions.
Pros
- Free, with the largest install base here
- Works with any builder
- Hundreds of starter templates
- WooCommerce and SureCart support
Cons
- Fewer shop features in the theme than Flatsome
- Generic until customised
- Store extras need Pro
- Needs WooCommerce and a payments extension
Kadence

Kadence is the block-editor route. The free theme is fast and WooCommerce-ready, and the paid Shop Kit adds swatches, galleries, upsells, order bumps, bundles and volume pricing, which covers much of what Flatsome users add as plugins.
The free theme has more than 500,000 active installs and a 4.9 rating from 453 reviews on WordPress.org, last updated 24 July 2026. Paid plans are per site: Essentials at $99 a year, Pro at $299 a year with the full Shop Kit, and Elite at $499 a year.
Pros
- Native block-editor experience
- Shop Kit replaces several plugins
- Fast and well maintained
- Free core
Cons
- Shop Kit is on the $299-a-year tier
- Per-site plans renew yearly
- Smaller community than Astra or Flatsome
- Needs WooCommerce and a payments extension
Divi

Divi answers the licence objection. One payment covers unlimited websites, and its builder has WooCommerce modules for product pages, cart and checkout. Like Flatsome it has its own builder, so it does not solve the lock-in objection, but it does solve the per-site cost for anyone running several stores.
It requires WooCommerce for the shop. It costs $89 a year or $249 once for lifetime access, both for unlimited sites, and Elegant Themes states more than 974,000 customers.
Pros
- Unlimited sites
- Lifetime option at $249
- WooCommerce modules in the builder
- Very large customer base
Cons
- Its own builder, same lock-in as Flatsome
- Heavier than Astra or Kadence
- Yearly unless you buy lifetime
- Needs WooCommerce and a payments extension
PremiumPress Shop Theme

PremiumPress Shop Theme is a $99 one-time WordPress theme with the shopping cart, checkout, tax, shipping, stock control and 30 or more payment gateways built in, so no WooCommerce or extra ecommerce plugins are needed. It answers two of the three Flatsome objections at once: unlimited installs on sites you own, and no plugin stack, because the shop engine is in the theme. It uses Elementor and an AI store builder rather than a proprietary builder.
It also handles digital downloads, subscriptions, coupons, affiliate stores and a multi-vendor mode. It costs $99 once for unlimited stores on sites you own, with 0% transaction fees, six months of updates and support with an optional $49 per six months after that, and a 10-day money-back guarantee. The product page shows 9,451 installs and 7 reviews, all five stars.
Pros
- No WooCommerce and no plugin stack
- $99 once, unlimited stores, 0% fees
- Elementor and AI builder, not a proprietary one
- Digital, subscription and multi-vendor selling included
Cons
- Outside the WooCommerce ecosystem, so its extensions do not apply
- Very few public reviews compared with Flatsome
- Plainer default design until customised
- Updates after six months are optional at $49 per six months
Final Thoughts: which Flatsome alternative should you pick?
If the problem is the UX Builder: WoodMart at $69 with Elementor, WPBakery or blocks, and the highest rating here.
If the problem is one site per licence: Divi at $249 lifetime for unlimited sites, or PremiumPress Shop Theme at $99 one-time for unlimited stores.
If the problem is the plugin stack: WoodMart includes the common extras; PremiumPress Shop Theme removes WooCommerce itself.
If you want free: Astra, or Kadence if you build in the block editor.
If none of those apply: stay with Flatsome. At $59 with 269,857 sales it remains the safest single-store buy on WooCommerce.
