Setting up Paytrail in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Paytrail credentials:
- Merchant ID (account) — Your Paytrail account / merchant id. Use the sandbox account 375917 while testing.
- Secret key — The merchant secret used to sign requests. Sandbox secret: SAIPPUAKAUPPIAS.
Amounts are sent in cents (EUR). Payments are confirmed by an authoritative status check plus a signed callback. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Paytrail in WordPress?
You'll need a Paytrail account and its Merchant ID (account) and Secret key, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does Paytrail support recurring subscriptions?
Paytrail handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the Paytrail checkout work?
One-time payments via the Paytrail Payments API, with HMAC-signed requests, a signed return, an authoritative status check and a signed callback (webhook).
