Setting up Paytm in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Paytm credentials:

• Merchant ID (MID) — Paytm Dashboard → API Keys. Use the staging MID while Mode is Test.
• Merchant key — The AES-128 key paired with the MID — used to sign the request and verify responses.
• Website name — WEBSTAGING for test; your configured website name (often DEFAULT) for live.

Amounts are sent in rupees (decimal). The request is signed with a Paytm checksum and the payment is confirmed against Paytm’s order-status API before the order completes. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Paytm in WordPress?

You'll need a Paytm account and its Merchant ID (MID), Merchant key and Website name, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Paytm support recurring subscriptions?

Paytm handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Paytm checkout work?

One-time payments via the Paytm JS-Checkout (initiateTransaction → showPaymentPage) with a signed request, and order-status verification on the buyer’s return plus a signed webhook.
