Setting up Mastercard Gateway in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Mastercard Gateway credentials:

• Merchant ID — Your MPGS merchant identifier. API auth uses the username “merchant.<Merchant ID>”.
• API password — Merchant Administration → Admin → Integration Settings → generate the API/Web Services password.
• Gateway URL — Your region’s gateway host, e.g. https://ap-gateway.mastercard.com, https://na-gateway.mastercard.com, or your acquirer’s branded host.

Hosted Checkout: a checkout session is created server-side and the payment is completed with Mastercard’s Checkout.js in the browser. Orders are confirmed by a server-side lookup (result SUCCESS, order CAPTURED). The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Mastercard Gateway in WordPress?

You'll need a Mastercard Gateway account and its Merchant ID, API password and Gateway URL, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Mastercard Gateway support recurring subscriptions?

Mastercard Gateway handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Mastercard Gateway checkout work?

Creates a checkout session via the REST API and confirms the order authoritatively via a server-side order lookup. The Checkout.js payment interaction is client-side (scaffold TODO).
