Setting up Kustom Checkout in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Kustom Checkout credentials:
- Region — Selects the Klarna/Kustom API host your account belongs to.
- Merchant ID (username) — Your API credentials username (Basic-auth user).
- Shared secret (password) — Your API credentials password (Basic-auth secret).
Amounts are sent in minor units. The checkout renders as an embedded snippet on the return page; the push webhook confirms the order server-to-server. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Kustom Checkout in WordPress?
You'll need a Kustom Checkout account and its Region, Merchant ID (username) and Shared secret (password), which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does Kustom Checkout support recurring subscriptions?
Kustom Checkout handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
