Setting up Interswitch in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Interswitch credentials:

• Merchant code — Your Interswitch merchant code (MerchantCode).
• Product ID — The WebPAY product id issued with your merchant profile.
• Pay item ID — The pay item id for this product (payable/service item).
• MAC key — The secret MAC key — used to hash the request and sign the transaction query.

WebPAY signs the request with SHA-512; the buyer pays on the Interswitch hosted page and the payment is confirmed by an authoritative transaction query (ResponseCode 00) before the order completes. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Interswitch in WordPress?

You'll need a Interswitch account and its Merchant code, Product ID, Pay item ID and MAC key, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Interswitch support recurring subscriptions?

Interswitch handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Interswitch checkout work?

A signed auto-POST redirect to the Interswitch hosted checkout, with SHA-512 hash signing and authoritative transaction-query verification on the buyer's return.
