Setting up Global Payments in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Global Payments credentials:

• Merchant ID — Your Global Payments / Realex merchant ID.
• Sub-account — The account name configured for HPP (often “internet”). Leave blank to use the default.
• Shared secret — The shared secret paired with this merchant ID — used to sign the request and verify the response.

The request is signed with SHA-1; the buyer pays on the Global Payments hosted page and returns with a signed response that is verified (RESULT=00) before the order completes. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Global Payments in WordPress?

You'll need a Global Payments account and its Merchant ID, Sub-account and Shared secret, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Global Payments support recurring subscriptions?

Global Payments handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Global Payments checkout work?

A SHA1-signed Hosted Payment Page redirect, with the signed response verified before the order completes.
