About Elavon

Elavon, a U.S. Bancorp company, provides global card processing and merchant services for businesses.

What Elavon supports

Card payments via Elavon Converge Hosted Payments.

  • Payment methods: Cards, digital wallets
  • Where it works: US, Canada, Europe and Mexico
  • Billing: one-off payments
  • Price: free for every PremiumPress member

Setting up Elavon in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Elavon credentials:

  • Merchant ID — Your Converge account / merchant ID (ssl_merchant_id).
  • User ID — The Converge API user set up for hosted payments (ssl_user_id). Use a dedicated API user.
  • PIN — The API user’s PIN (ssl_pin) — a long shared secret from Converge.

Recurring plans are billed as a single one-time payment for the initial period — Converge’s stored-card auto-billing isn’t driven by this integration, so subscriptions won’t auto-renew. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

Elavon plugin FAQ

What do I need to set up Elavon in WordPress?

You'll need a Elavon account and its Merchant ID, User ID and PIN, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Elavon support recurring subscriptions?

Elavon handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Elavon checkout work?

A server-side session token is created via the Converge API, the buyer pays on Converge’s hosted page, and the order is confirmed authoritatively with a Converge transaction query.
