Setting up Conekta in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Conekta credentials:

• Private key — Conekta → Settings → API Keys → your private key. Use the test key while Mode is Test.

One-time payments only. The buyer pays on Conekta’s hosted page and returns; the order is confirmed via the Orders API and the order.paid webhook. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Conekta in WordPress?

You'll need a Conekta account and its Private key, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Conekta support recurring subscriptions?

Conekta handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the Conekta checkout work?

Real one-time payments for Mexico (cards, OXXO cash, SPEI bank transfer) via Conekta Orders + Hosted Payment, with API verification and a webhook. No SDK — direct REST via wp_remote_request.
