Setting up Coinbase Commerce in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Coinbase Commerce credentials:
- API key — Coinbase Commerce → Settings → Security → API keys.
- Webhook shared secret — Recommended — the shared secret from your webhook subscription. Add a webhook in Coinbase Commerce → Settings → Webhook subscriptions
Prices are set in your store currency and converted to crypto at checkout. One-time payments only — no subscriptions. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Coinbase Commerce in WordPress?
You'll need a Coinbase Commerce account and its API key and Webhook shared secret, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does Coinbase Commerce support recurring subscriptions?
Coinbase Commerce handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the Coinbase Commerce checkout work?
Real one-time cryptocurrency payments via the Coinbase Commerce Charges API (hosted redirect), with an authoritative charge-status verification and an HMAC-signed webhook. No SDK — direct REST via wp_remote_request.
