Setting up Bolt in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Bolt credentials:

• Publishable key — Bolt Merchant Dashboard → Developers → API. Used by the embedded Bolt.js checkout on the front end.
• API key — Server-side API key, sent as X-API-Key to confirm transactions.
• Webhook signing secret — Bolt Dashboard → Developers → Webhooks. Add a webhook

Bolt uses an embedded client-side checkout (Bolt.js). This gateway verifies transactions server-side and via a signed webhook; the embedded launch page still needs your Bolt.js wiring. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Bolt in WordPress?

You'll need a Bolt account and its Publishable key, API key and Webhook signing secret, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does Bolt support recurring subscriptions?

Bolt handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
