Setting up BitPay in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your BitPay credentials:
- API token — BitPay dashboard → My Account → API Tokens. Create a token with the “Merchant” facade and no client authentication (POS-style).
Prices are set in your store currency and converted to crypto at checkout. One-time payments only — no subscriptions. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up BitPay in WordPress?
You'll need a BitPay account and its API token, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does BitPay support recurring subscriptions?
BitPay handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the BitPay checkout work?
Real one-time cryptocurrency payments via the BitPay Invoices API (hosted redirect), with an authoritative invoice-status verification and an IPN webhook. No SDK — direct REST via wp_remote_request.
