Setting up BillDesk in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your BillDesk credentials:
- Merchant ID — The mercid BillDesk issued for your account.
- Client ID — The Client ID (security ID) placed in the JWS header.
- Checksum key — The HMAC secret used to sign the JWS request and verify responses.
Requests and responses are JWS-signed (HS256). The buyer is auto-POSTed to the BillDesk hosted page and confirmed via a signed order retrieve on return. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up BillDesk in WordPress?
You'll need a BillDesk account and its Merchant ID, Client ID and Checksum key, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does BillDesk support recurring subscriptions?
BillDesk handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the BillDesk checkout work?
Creates a JWS-signed order, auto-POSTs the buyer to the BillDesk hosted page, and confirms via a JWS-signed order retrieve on return. No SDK — direct REST via wp_remote_request.
