Setting up Airwallex in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Airwallex credentials:
- Client ID — Airwallex → Account → API keys. Sent as x-client-id when authenticating.
- API key — Sent as x-api-key to obtain a short-lived bearer token (cached).
- Webhook secret — Recommended — enables reliable confirmation. Add a webhook in Airwallex → Developer → Webhooks
One-time payments. Recurring is possible via a saved customer + consent — see the Airwallex docs to extend this. Amounts are in major currency units. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Airwallex in WordPress?
You'll need a Airwallex account and its Client ID, API key and Webhook secret, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does Airwallex support recurring subscriptions?
Airwallex handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the Airwallex checkout work?
One-time payments via a Payment Intent + the Airwallex Hosted Payment Page, with a cached auth token, authoritative status verification and a signed webhook.
