I use SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam. I was severely hit by SPAM bots last few months, 100s of registrations. Not even a single one these days. I think SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam is helping a lot.

Does the SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam appear on the package submission too?

I use the Stop Spammers Registration Plugin (http://www.blogseye.com/i-make-plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/ ) and it works well with PremiumPress themes.

SI CAPTCHA doesn’t appear on the submission page. Am not sure if it is a compatibility issue with Premiumpress themes or my configuration mistake. If it is enabled on the registration page and the login page it helps. It also has a Spam trap which enables empty field and time based traps for spam bots. I use Antispam Bee and SI Captcha together and both help a lot. I don’t get any SPAM these days.

I want to give a try to the Stop Spammers Registration Plugin which Richard suggested. It looks good.

The submission page doesnt have anyy captcha options, the plugins are designed for the login/register pages only.

I have installed a WP plugin “Captcha” on my classifieds theme, I set captcha is required on registration, login and forget password pages.

This little plug-in works fine on my classifieds theme. Have a crack.

I downloaded RealtorPress a while ago. I am now on my 3rd complete reinstall because of spam and the unnecessarily complicated manner everything is set and functions.
Spam is an urgent issue that needs to be fixed ASAP! I can’t believe there is no way to battle all the spam registrations and comments!
In the meantime, perhaps the authors of the script can issue a list of recommended solutions to spam?
