Sorting listings by custom field

Hi Guys,

I would like to know how to sort the listings from the listings object on my main page.

How do I say specify to list all items that are in say database key(customer field “key_color” – 2nd or 3rd field) into a listings object placed on my page using page builder?

So for example, using key_color but only red items. and say red items are a selection type and they are 2nd from the top of the lines.

Do I use short code? Do I need to enable shortcode (click the option for this, when adding a custom field?) How is this all done?
