Hi,
I am sure this has been asked before but I can’t find the right search terms to find the post(s) so … with trepidation …. here goes!
I am brand new to WP and about three million years old – slow in the head these days – but I was just beginning to feel I was getting to grips with my Directory Theme when I decided it was time to make a child theme. I had looked at both video tutorials on child themes and thought the point made about making my changes safe from the unruly hand of PP developers might just be a good idea!
In creating the child theme the header row: search (what are you looking for.. — all departments —) and Submit listing has vanished – And “I want it back please”
I am entirely stuck on this (I did notice in the video tutorial that Mark’s Search /submit row also disappeared when he showed us how to make a child theme – snag is, he has the know-how to put it back!) so any help would be appreciated even if it is a blunt “Look at this post” + link
Here’s hoping – thanks in advance
All the best
Patrick.
