Paying for listing is unfair to users!

The title might be a little bit misleading but here’s my point of view.

I have 3 active enhancements available and on top of that I offer 3 packages to get a discount on the enhancements if users pay for two or three.

To give a better picture of this problem I’m going to make up an example.

User add’s a listing (For 7 days) and buy’s one enhancement (Font Bold) Then the user doesn’t feel his listing is getting enough traffic so one day later from creating the listing he starts to change the listing and want’s to buy the enhancement (Top of category).

This is where the theme starts to kick the users balls, hard!!!

The user has already paid for 7 day’s of (Font Bold) and has 6 day’s left. But when the user pay’s for (Top of category) the listing removes the (Font Bold) and only give’s the listing the (Top of category) for 7 day’s

As you can see the theme has just “stolen” the 6 day’s left of the (Font Bold) enhancement.

Also, the packages bring a different problem but in my case if a user picks a package they are getting it with a discount so they can just wait until it expires before making any changes.

I’m pretty sure there is no quick fix for this problem but if there is please let me know.

Also, if someone could provide me with the files these functions are controlled I could program this change myself. I just don’t have the time to dig through the code and find it.
