Image Gallery Issues

added a featured image and this worked as expected.

Then added a series of images for the gallery on a product and, it inserted the images into the top of the product post and not as thumbs under the freatured image as I would have expected and as has always been in these themes.

it seems that these 8.9 updates have a lot of bugs in them and they are becoming un-usable and not user friendly.
