illegal string offset 'joiner'??

I have a DP site 7.14 almost perfect. I have set a new site on addon domain to check the responsive theme. The responsive at check php give the values. A few had to be change (post max, max execution, display errors). I ‘ve installed php.ini in public html root for php single ini 5.4 as suggested by blue host. On my DP7.14; I have a message repeated twice in the advanced search widget; It reads: “It reads:
‘Warning: Illegal string offset ‘joiner’ in /home2/homecaqt7/public_html/trianglehomecareguide/wp0content/themes/directorypress/PPT/class/class_search.php on line 1421′.
