How do you edit Home page in V 9.x?

I can’t seem to figure out how to update the home page. The “home page content” in Design setup only contains “Footer Boxes” and nothing else. I realized the home page is pulling images from the category section but I do not know how to customize this as I would like to tweak some things on the home page.
