Header/logo size

Hi all, I’m struggling a little with this one. I’m trying to get my header picture full width on my website http://www.itsfirst.co.uk I currently have a blue band each end of the image as can be seen. I’ve added the image as a logo under ‘General Setup’ – ‘Website Logo’ I’ve also added the code:

<style>.home #core_header, .home #core_header img {width:100%;}</style>

in the ‘Custom CSS’ – ‘Header Styles’ box. I’d also like to reduce the height of the lighter blue band above the image where the currency and language logos are located.
