Few questions about responsive directory theme

Hi Friends,

I am freshly developing my site from scratch after a recent crash. Pls guide me to the solutions to my queries. I am making a directory for a city.

1) How can I set the distance on home page listings to show distance from my city.
2) How can I set the permalinks to %postname%. The responsive theme is not accepting it. It is using the premiumpress custom slugs. I had a lot of links which are indexed as http://www.mysite.com/post name.
3) How can I add more attachments fields to listings as admin. The default is five. I add all listings as admin hence I have not assigned any listing package.
4) In the listings widget I have set the query to show random listings and checked the featured listing but still it shows only the latest featured listings. Not in random order.
5) How can we increase the characters limit in excerpt.
