Okay, this issue is well documented on the internet … so have done my best to fix based on info there … but am still experiencing problems.
I am using Responsive Directory, Version 6.5.6
The issue: When going into General Setup – Submission settings and changing a setting (and saving), I was getting the following error:
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4202973 bytes) in /home/frogtree71/public_html/stink.club/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1107”
What I have attempted so far (through cpanel):
In the home/frogtree71/public_html/stink.club/wp-config.php I have added the following:
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);
In the home/frogtree71/public_html/php.ini (a text file) I have added the following:
memory_limit = 256M ; Change the 128M to your needs
When using 64M the error message disappeared …. I just got a pure white screen instead. At 128M and 256M the web page just hangs (i.e. works away with no result).
…. my cpanel is now telling me that I am at 90% of my RAM, which I think makes sense.
Please note that I had been able to change setting on this page … I do not know what has changed to cause this error.
Also note that I currently only have 5 listings.
Any suggestions? As always, thanks in advance 🙂
