I wish to sincerely apologize to the forum, the members and the developers of the theme I bought and humbly ask all to allow me to retract my statement of “feeling ripped off”, and all other negative statements as such.

You will never see such posts from me again, ever.

As most of the “Guru’s” can probably tell, I AM a total newbie to WP, its framework and working with its themes, templates, etc. I should have explained that earlier.

I HAVE been developing a lot of websites over many years and I use to use Joomla as my go to CMS for my clients.

My negative comments I made about in the appearance > widgets are, where there is no header area to add widgets to, after doing a lot of research, is a WP problem and not part of the theme developer as I thought.

I love the new map on the home page of the DP theme as I said, which is why I bought the theme and would simply just like that map to be used through out the site as the default map.

I think my main problem is that I am new to the WP environment and just learning about widget,, plug-in and themes, frameworks, etc. Some things seem incredibly easy to do and some things that to me, because most things are so easy, are not so easy to do. So I am a bit confused about this.

Again, my frustration got the better of me, please forgive me.

I a not trolling the forums as someone said. I am simply trying to find answers and post my problem I am having just like everyone else and just cant seem to find the answers or help I need.

In trying to find this information, I have come across a few other posts that say things like “pulling my hair out” and other things like this and I am just feeling the same frustrations as others, I just word it more aggressively. Sorry about that.

I tried to post what I needed as clear as possible with images, etc and I just feel that what I need to do should be a simple task like adding the new google map widget in the home page section.

As I stated in all my posts, all am I trying to do is get the NEW google map, that is shown on the demo of the DP template, to work through out the site, i.e, replace the “old?” map completely with the NEW map.

I think my other problem is that the child theme I choose, SearchMe theme functions different than all the other child themes, which I may have to dump and just stick with the Main theme now and just try and modify that to do what I need it to do.

If anyone knows of the correct short code to use to insert/replace the [GOOGLEMAP] shortcode, this may help me a lot OR how I can find and use the widget code, used in the page set up > homepage area for the new map to replace the old on through out the site I would be most grateful.

I will be posting my apology on my other posts/topics I made as well, I hope you don’t think I am trolling to ask for forgiveness.
