CSV import plugin not working in 8.8

Did the update to 8.8 on one of my sites and CSV import plugin is not working anymore.

Took the drastic step of nuking entire site and starting from scratch and recreated

Started with wordpress
Added premiumpress responsive shopping cart theme
Added CSV import plugin from theme plugins
Tried importing a sample of 5 new records via CSV Import Tool page

System goes thru the motions of loading (no errors) but nothing is loaded.

I know the file works in previous version and I’m just going nuts on getting this to work.

Any suggestions or help would be welcome please
