Creating a Child Theme with Specific Pages

    We had to make changes to the following two files:

    JB > templates > template_jobboard_theme > _functions.php

    JB > framework > class > defaults_jobs.php

    Can we create a child theme that will protect these two files?

    We’re running Version 8.1 and we want to have the latest version 8.3.

    Any help here would be appreciated.
