Coupon Child Theme September 2016

I have loaded September Child Theme, but cannot figure out how to enter additional info in the Turquoise box at the top. It only shows the ‘search’ (which is the reason I chose this Child Theme). But, I need to be able to add content beside the search box.

Also, I would like to change it to green from turquoise. I can’t find where to change the colors of the search box background (in the top panel) and the background of the search box in the top panel.
