Category Troubles

Ok, hope someone can help. I ran into an issue on our development box and want to see if anyone can point me to a fix.

I did a mass import of coupons on our dev site with the ‘category’ for all posts set to ” but rather than dump and edit a huge import file and re-import I’d like to find a way using say phpMyAdmin to make those posts without a category assignment be assigned to a category like say ‘coupons’ …

Any help is appreciated, and I’m sure would be a great help post for others needing this.
