Can We add more fields to the job seeker applying form

I know we can add fields to registration form. Can we add fields to when someone applies to a job so we can extract more data from the applying person. i am trying to make custom site not job board specific but i want to have such functionality that people applying will have to fill customized form with fields i will create.
