Bank transfer Checkout Issue – Responsive Shop ThemeVersion: 8.4

I have chosen to use bank transfer on my site so as to only receive orders from customers who pay when they pickup at the store. Problem is that when they click on continue button in the payment method section it just returns them to the 1st step of the checkout page and the order is not placed. How can I fix this so that the order is submitted and the user gets a message saying order processed or received?
