    Hey James…

E-mail works flawlessly for me. At the end of the auction, the sellers get the seller one and the buyers get the buyer one. It’s not always at the precise moment of the auction end, but it is within a few minutes.

I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I do not use packages. I’m taking the risk on my site to make it completely free. I’m only going to charge sellers for using my site if they have a successful sale. At the end of the auction, I am going to send them an invoice and cross my fingers.

It sounds as if you are using the “user selectable auction length” is this true? I’m guessing that this is your issue (in my non-technical jargon!) — User selects a 30-day auction. System is set to do just this. You go it and change the auction end time. The auction ends at this time, but for some reason, it still holds on to the original expiry date to send the e-mails.

Assuming that you use the user selectable auction length…. I’d suggest shutting it down and testing out the custom expiry function. This will require you to create a custom expiry field…. do that and keep the field type as just input field. The user will have to enter their number of days in this field. I suggest using the description field here too… write something that is very clear to your users like “enter the number of days you want your auction to run.”

Make sure that you remember the exact name of the field you just created and go to the expiry setup tab… you’ll have to select it from the drop down list there. Set the other options, save and test it out.

If any of this is unclear, please keep asking questions. I’m happy to help. I’ve received tons of help in this forum… and I want to return the favor as much as I can.

If this fails, perhaps I can hook you up with the freelance coder that I’ve been using? He’s been doing an amazing job for me in making my site do things that isn’t part of the core framework (this being one). I love the pick from calendar expiry date. I’m selling unrented vacation home weeks on my site. It’s a very date-sensitive product. So having this expiry calendar is really essential.

    Hope this helps
    Kevin
