Apply for Job / Submit Proposal

I surrender! Tried all day to work out how to get rid of the “Submit Proposal” box and simply have an “APPLY” button. On the sales page for the Responsive Jobsboard theme, it says you have the option to use submit proposal, or apply, but blowed if I can work out how!

Switched off the option to allow users to submit proposals, changed the language files etc. But, no joy.

Would be useful to know the file paths and code to know how to change the listing page. I know the question has been previously asked but in Mark’s reply he suggested making a change to a core file that I cannot find in my theme directories
