After theme update lost images except one image per listing

hi, i have asked this question before but cant find that post so asking that again. Last time i did not know why but now i noticed It happens when i update the theme. My old listing has end up with only one image per listing on the listing details page. even though i put back the 8.0 theme i cant see multiple images on the listing and it happened soon after i updated the theme. And it happen before when i upgraded to 8.0 but i did not know why. Now i can see every time i update the theme i lost images of old listings. How can i put back the images? please help as obviously the listing are not my, i cant loose customers listing or ask theme to upload again!!
