Keep Cart items (cookie)

Hello,

I am aware of the “Checkout” page and it’s “add to cart” functions. It’s nice to have the ability to still browse through the website and add items accordingly and place an order when ready.

The issue we come cross is… if someone (customers) wanted to wait few days before placing an order, customers normally closes their Internet browser window and once they’re ready to purchase, they will revisit the website and resume back to the items they placed in the cart. My understanding is, as long as the window stays open, cookie remains and will not lose any items on cart. But when the customer closes the window, they lose the items in the cart. Can someone help me insert a script where even if the users closes the Internet browser, it will save the cookie and pull back up once return on the page. The Shop theme ver 8.3 doesn’t seem have this ability. Thanks.
