auction theme – adjust box shadow

I’m not 100% certain they’re called box shadows… but, the thin, vertical, green lines on my page shown from top-to-bottom. I went into style.css and played around with the pixels for box-shadow, succesfully enlarging/shrinking them.

Now, I want to bring them in towards the center to meet the top and copyright footer (vertical green lines meet green boxes forming a green outline on website.

Also, my box-shadows used to look shaded and now they’re solid green lines. Anyone, know how to revert it back to looking shaded?
