How do I make my video site the same as the demo?

I want to set up three carousels on the home page that are just like on the video website demo. I am not having any luck figuring out how to do this.

The carousels are all already set up for only featured videos. On the demo site the carousels are for “featured videos,” “latest videos,” and “popular videos.” I have tried for several hours to create the proper queries to set these up and I am not able to get it right.

Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to do to have my homepage carousels the same as the ones in the demo video website? Thanks.
