Help changing font color in side boxes on home page

    The template is fine in all other aspects but I have black backgrounds on the images I am using in the side boxes so I need the font color to be white. Can anyone supply the solution.

    I attached a screen shot.

    I would also love to get rid of the search button on main header too.
