Recurring Payments with Stripe?

Is it possible to have recurring payments with Stripe? I used the chat featured to ask this question prior to purchase and I was told (or lead to believe anyway) that it is indeed possible to have recurring payments with Stripe but apparently it isn’t.

I think Stripe is becoming a more favorable payment gateway than PayPal due to its simple ease of use and developer friendly model. Recurring payment with a directory website is a must in my mind and I’d love to get this working.

If it’s not yet possible (and not on the dev roadmap for deployment the next several weeks), can anyone point me in the right direction for adding it to the existing Stripe plugin?

Do any payment gateways other than PayPal support recurring payment?
