Recurring payments – how does user opt out

    HI,

    I hope this isn’t answered someplace. I did some reading around but couldn’t find anything. Sorry in advance if there is.

    I am curious what you guys are telling your customers when they want to opt out of a listing that is “Recurring”

    If I was to have a customer purchase a listing in a classified of mine and tries it out for a couple of months or even sells what they are advertising in the first week. Now they want to delete the listing, so they don’t get charged next month…

    I am guessing they need to do this in their own PayPal account and also delete the listing from my classifieds. Would that be correct?

    It’s a long shot but if they delete the listing it wont tell PayPal to stop billing right?

    What if a user isn’t that inclined to know they must do both, but only deletes their listing and assumes that’s it. I know I can stop billing them at my end via PayPal, and I don’t have a problem monitoring that and doing so. But, I don’t see any notification that a user has deleted their listing and if there is possibly 100’s of Recurring payments and people are deleting their listings for what ever reason, how are you guys managing not re billing these people.
