New Product Query String on Carousel – MJ Theme

Hi gang, does anyone know other optional query strings we can use to show NEW products only to a certain date and have them stop showing after a certain time period?

E.g. current new product string is – orderby=ID&order=desc

Yet the query seems to keep showing new products forever.

Can we query by date so that new products that are over say 10-days old will drop from the new product query string? If not how long does this string feature new products?

Also any optional query strings we can use / consider other than the basic 3 mark suggests?
