Mike, when we talked on Skype, I have mentioned that Yoast SEO has the option to change the title of the 404 pages.

    Richard

Yoast changes all manner of aspects of the site, which I dont have time to configure, so I am looking for a very simple solution which just changes the page title on the 404

Yoast, for me is like a sledge hammer to crack a nut.

All I need is that page title altered as I said.

Create your own 404 template – not as hard as it looks plus it has many other benefits: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_an_Error_404_Page

Not a coder, reading this up looks tricky. Tried all manner of perms – and its beyond my skills.

I simply want to remove the “Page Not Found” words from the pages meta title is all.

I have done the rest of the customization that I need in the page itself. Any suggestion?
