Directory theme update, 8.2 to 8.8

Thanks for reply, i have a DT version 8.3 that was download to update my 8.2 DT version but never did seeing i was working on a coupon site at the time and there was posts stating that a 8.4 version was coming so i waited and then 8.4 to 8.8 came out so i decided to update to have a more secure and up to date site.

Enclose are 3 images to show the present version i have installed, can i update to the 8.3 version and then to 8.8? I delete the old theme according to the post above and the theme install but there were so many issues with the child themes i install from the admin area so i revert back 3 times without any success.
