Applying Adsense

Hi friends,

It’s been around six months since my site gone live now I am planning to apply for Adsense but before applying I would like to be sure whether my site comply with the rules. All listings and articles are written by me and are original there are around 50 listings as of now. There are some affiliate banner ads on my site . Are these ads hindrance in the process. I can remove them. I needs some advice how to go about it. I want to put the ads on home page and under posts. Or is there any better idea. Should I use a plugin to insert ads.

Pls give some guidance.
