Welcome email

Hi,

At registration I have set my site such that a user cannot set their password immediately but instead are sent an automated email with a link where they click to change their password, and are therefore authenticated. That works absolutely fine.

However, when I set the option for a Welcome email to be sent neither this, nor the password setting email above is sent. As a consequence the user cannot register without manually requesting a password reset. I have tried switching the WordPress registration option to both on and off but the behaviour is the same.

Any ideas?
