V3.8 Best way to Update

Hi Guys, Can't see V3.8 update in my WP dashboard, Do I need to download the file from PP & than upload back to WP or is there any other option. As I was just wondering I might lose my current settings?

Rahul, hope that’s the only option available as now to manually upload. Me too afraid of same, I might loose all the css settings as well.

Deleting the entire theme and installing will remove all our modifications. Any other options? Or we should have which files have been modified so that we can manually backup those files before updating.

For every new versions release, we should have a details of updated files.

removing the theme will remove the theme files, if you’ve created a child theme you can use the backup tool to back it up or manually create a backup, then reinstall.

you shouldnt be editing core files.

That’s what a child theme is for in the \templates folder. Back this up, then re-upload.
