User editing a listing when there is a problem – How to?

If there is a problem with a listing that hasn’t been published and I leave a note for the publisher via the listing manager, I notice the publisher can see this note on the listing page. My question is how does this publisher edit the un-published listing? There is no button available to edit it.

Also what happens if the publisher finds a mistake when they are reviewing the listing after they have submitted it? there is no button there also? How does the publisher edit the listing so it goes back into pending for review?

I think it would make a lot more sense if the edit button was available all the time, and once re-listed the listing goes back into pending. This would fix all these problems.
