I recently launched a directory site using a Guru freelancer. He did a good job, but unfortunately I missed several items on the site that I should have had him do before signing off, as well as a few changes to the site. The directory theme was used for https://beachbarlife.com. Spoke with freelancer about issues and he made it sound as if it would be a lot of work? I’m a neophyte when it comes to editing code, backend stuff etc. Possibly, someone can help and be kind enough to explain a couple of things and share their knowledge? I could pass it on to him? Saving him time and me money?
My issues are with the dropdown menus. They don’t work correctly, make main menu items disappear and look amateurish? Also, pages like Contact – Register – Upload Image look mediocre at best. I’d like them centered room for content so I can explain the process, perhaps a muted background, border or whatever. As they are now they look half done?
I found a site on the forum https://primesiteuk.com/ and I was impressed. His site had professional looking menus and proficient appearing Contact – Register etc. pages.
Any suggestions or procedures I can tell my freelancer so he can get my pages looking similar to the ones on https://primesiteuk.com? Are these forms and contact pages done with a plugin or widget? Or created with editing the code? Is it a big deal for someone knowledgably to fix these glitches?
Lastly I’ve been trying to do the simple task of limiting number of articles per page per page in blog to no avail and realized I can’t save details to custom fields in listing manager? Any suggestions?
Cheers, Jim
