    Hi,
In dating theme I have created a custom field ,called children, from “Profile setup”
It shows up in members profile setup page, and shows allso in Admin area in “Profiles” under the member details, but I can not get it to show in front in members listing-
What must I do to make the field name and value ( yes or no )show in the members listing ?

Thank you James for the answere,
I have tried again to add custom field, following the video, but I still have no success making the field visible in front end, allthough the process seems simple enough there must be someting I am missing. I work on a default installation , no child theme and no modifications.
    I have attached screenshots from:
    a) profile setup – showing the custum field created
    b) members dashboard – showing the selected values from custom field
    c) frontend – showing that nothing appears
I hope you you can clarify this for me
    Thank you

    Hello,

I don’t believe it’ll display on it’s own, I’m not seeing anything in the code to do this.
You should be able to add it via shortcode in the listing template by either in an Elementor template or the file (/DA/_dating/widgets/widget-content.php).
For example, using your database key the shortcode would be [CUSTOMFIELD field=”custom-1″]. You would also need to add the text to display (i.e. the word ‘Children’).

Thank you very much for the guidance,it is much appreciated.
I am beginning to understand how the theme works and the more I find out, the more impressed I am by both design and the many options for setup

Yes, there is a learning curve of a sort.

    You’re welcome, glad it helped.
