    If you turn off ‘Display Profile Links’ with My Account Options, the URL to the profile is still accessible…if you know the profile URL:
    https://websiteURL/author/athourname

    This should be blocked when the option is turned off in the settings back-end, since this is a (very) minor security/privacy issue…but a sneaky one, once you know about it.
